Home, safe and sound

Just a quick note to let you know that we're safely back from Belize.  It's good to be home. A bunch of us will be at church in the morning.  Be sure to ask us about our experiences in Belize.  We'd love to tell you about them.

This won't be the end of the blog.  The story isn't finished yet. We have more pictures and tales to share, so keep coming back for the next little while for updates.

Evangel has three members who are still in Belize and will be continuing their work there through Wednesday.  Keep praying for Steve, Carlton and Jeff who have been meeting with success distributing thumb drives containing training materials for pastors in both English and Spanish.

Above is a picture of the team this morning just before we left Spanish Lookout Caye for the mainland and the Belize City airport.

  1. It has truly been a blessing to be part of such an incredible group!  God assembled a diverse and talented team, a team that was unified in the Spirit and sought to serve in faithful obedience and with great humility. The "bucket brigade" to move the blocks upstairs was just one example of the the body of Christ at work this week.  Thanks to Hank for working "overtime" to share our story through word and pictures; just so know, there was also great anticipation around the hotel each day to see which pictures and stories made the blog.  Each of the 1500+ pictures taken during the week have a unique and powerful story. The one that stands out to me the most is Dr. Lowman as he called some of the older kids off the soccer field to talk to them; as more and more people gathered around, it made me think of Christ and those that gathered around Him that were hungry to hear the Good News.  Thanks to each of you who joined us on this EPiC Adventure; your encouragement, support, and prayers were felt each step of the journey.  May we each seek to live in a way that exhibits our deep gratitude for what Christ has done for us!
