Safely there (Psalm 75:2)

Just a quick update.  We're in Corozal, Belize, and, everyone is safe and sound and very, very tired after a very long day of travel.

Travel is just the intermediate process between being here and being there, so tales of waiting in line, flight delays, clearing customs and immigration in a Developing World nation, and long bus rides tend not to be very interesting.  Let's just say it was a long day that began with our gathering at the church at 3:30 a.m. and ended around 9 p.m. (10 p.m. back home).  We were a faded group of missionaries by the end of the day.

We finally arrived in Corozal around 4:30 p.m., and after getting settled at our hotel, we met with Pastor Juan at the Prince of Peace Church where we will be working and worshiping this week and, after a prayer walk through the neighborhood, we were surprised with a marvelous Belizean feast at the church.

Our lead missionary, Gary Chambers, gave a nice devotional after dinner as we struggled to remain awake.  Then it was back to the hotel for a tired but excited group.

Pictures and much more tomorrow, but sleep for now.
